I am in a quiet place as of late. I know that it is not just me, but I feel it is a more pervasive atmosphere among the body of Christ. Many prophetic voices are calling this time between now and October a time of transition.
I feel as though it is a transition like that in the birthing process. It is almost time to bear down and birth the new thing God is doing. Labour is transitioning to the next phase. It is a period of intense concentration and quiet before a storm of activity.
I recently had a vision of the assembling of many regiments in what could only be described as an unearthly quiet. Time slowed and an intensity settled over the gathering army. The absence of sound in such a large throng of people and weaponry was profound. As I watched and listened I could hear the sound of the fluttering of the wings of an angel guiding someone to what would be their place in the upcoming battle. Ezekiel 10:5 says “And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even to the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when He speaks.” Have you heard this voice? It has so much depth it has it’s own background like the sound of many wings, the sound of many waters?
Job 37: 14-18 14
“Listen to this, O Job, Stand and consider the wonders of God. 15 “Do you know how God establishes them, And makes the lightning of His cloud to shine? 16 “Do you know about the layers of the thick clouds, The wonders of one perfect in knowledge, 17 You whose garments are hot, When the land is still because of the south wind? 18 “Can you, with Him, spread out the skies, Strong as a molten mirror?
Surely, such a God, who can pile up the clouds like regiments can guide us to our places?
The Lord is saying that many are being repositioned. We are now more than ever called to take offensive positions rather than that of defense. Where are you called?
I recently heard a teacher say that when God is quiet, be sure that He is about to whisper something very important. It sounds a little redundant as every word of God cannot help but create life, but I think I understand what he was getting at.
God allows us to have quiet seasons in order for us to learn to pay more attention to Him. To lean in to hear sound from a different realm.
I hear the sound of a gathered army before battle.
