I AM the Door

This is Part One of a Series on Circumcision.

Prophetic words about open doors abound today.

What if there is participation required?

I suggest to you that the open door in front of all of us might look a little different from what we imagine and yet, what we knew all along.

Jesus said in John 10: 9 “I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. Jesus Himself says, that He is the only Door, He says in verse 1 of the same chapter of John, “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber.

I suggest to you that the door might be open but the hole by which you enter is smaller than what can fit your body. This is the door of consecration, the door of circumcision. To go through this spiritual door will scrape you, will mark your heart  and you will never be the same, just like the physical act of circumcision. You will leave some of yourself behind

Do you remember Jesus saying it is easier for the camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven? Mark 10:25 That is because just like the camel, who has the baggage taken off to get through that narrow gateway into the city, so we all leave something of ourselves on this side of the door.

So we always knew that Jesus was the Door. He was the Door we entered into by faith to receive our salvation. I contend that He is still the Door to any plan for your future. Why do I say that the door might look differently than we imagine? It is not nebulous. It is not magic, or happenstance or knowing the right people in the right places that will help you to accomplish whatever is on the other side of that door that you want to open.

Jesus is the I AM, He is eternal, so He is ALWAYS the Door. He is the One with the keys to the Door in Isaiah 22:22, He is One at the Door in Revelations 3 verses 8 and 20.

In the Old Testament God asked Hosea to marry a prostitute. Hosea 2:14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her [Israel] and bring her into the wilderness, and I will speak tenderly and to her heart. 15 There I will give her her vineyards and make the Valley of Achor [troubling] to be for her a door of hope and expectation. And she shall sing there and respond as in the days of her youth and as at the time when she came up out of the land of Egypt” Amplified Classic

An open door of hope and expectation was not without tears or troubles.
