Temple Vessels

Jeremiah 27:18 But if they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, let them now entreat the Lord of hosts that the vessels which are left in the house of the Lord, in the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem may not go to Babylon. 19 For thus says the Lord of hosts concerning the pillars, concerning the sea, concerning the stands and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city, 20 which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon did not take when he carried into exile Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem. 21 Yes, thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of the Lord and in the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem, 22 They will be carried to Babylon and they will be there until the day I visit them,’ declares the Lord. ‘Then I will bring them back and restore them to this place.’”

In this one section of scripture God tells us that real prophets are intercessors. It has been said that not all intercessors are prophets but all prophets are intercessors.  This reading also tells us that He does not give prophetic intercession for agendas that are against His will. For your information a cross-reference for this can be found in Jeremiah 7:16 and  Jer 11: 14.

When I read it the verse about prophets entreating or interceding, stood out. The last verse, as well, resonated with me. By the way the word for entreat or intercede in this verse is paga which means to light upon, to mediate between parties. It seemed like God was speaking something about both these verses.  I was overwhelmed with a sense that the Lord was promising to visit again and bring the vessels of the temple back and restore them.

Where are those vessels now?  Many believe the ark, candle stands, and gold vessels were buried in what Is now called the Dome of the Rock. That when they are found the Jewish claim to the city of Jerusalem will be affirmed.

Thing is, after reading this scripture on Easter Sunday, I attended a service. I had what is described as a vision. Before me was bright golden light and I felt like I was floating. A menorah that was taller than myself appeared. It was as if the light caught on fire. The large candlestick was three-dimensional and it seemed as if  was carried into the centre of it. I could feel the menorah was cradling me, holding me up, I was wrapped in the presence of God. In fact it felt like the menorah  was actually God’s Presence. menorah2

I heard the whisper of the  Lord’s Voice. For me, it was like He put an exclamation point on this promise. He was in fact visiting the service taking place.

He was telling me that we are now the vessels of His temple, that we carry His presence like the ark used to be carried. In the spiritual, He was fulfilling this word, and would in the natural as well. These treasures will be found and restored. We live in an incredible time in history.
